A true scout.  Well done and thanks for the comments and question.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Yes, the plucking action is based on the asian design, but the asian design was ripped off from the american pioneers - Pick Wick, if I'm not mistaken.  &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;So they all basically work the same.  The main variables are RPMs of the turntable, density of rubber in the fingers, size of tub and method of drive (belt or direct).  &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;The asians added the great innovation of the feather chute.
